Twitch Integration

Thank you for playing Gori! We can’t wait to see how you take on the Adorable Army with your viewers! Here’s a quick-fire setup guide on how to get Integration up and running so you can get to the serious business of slaying unicorns ASAP!

Activating Twitch Integration

Navigate to options->General and turn Twitch integration ON, a browser window will open asking the streamer permission to connect to their channel which you’ll need to accept. Once you do this – you’ll be all set!

NOTE! You’ll also need to set up a custom channel reward to use two of the features in the integration. ANy existing custom point redemption will work, so you can tell people to use your own pre-existing redeems, or create one just for Gori! – it’s your choice)

If you are not familiar with setting up custom rewards – you can follow Twitch’s guidelines here : https://help.twitch.tv/s/article/channel-points-guide?language=en_US

Feature 1 – Friends Become Foes

The first feature allows your viewers to be pulled into the game, assigning their name to both regular rank and file enemies, as well as the ‘tank’ units!

At any time during gameplay, chat can use the !join command in order to take over an enemy. The game will then allocate a users name over an enemy or tank for you to slay and display their Twitch profile picture above it!

Once you slay that particular enemy the game will notify you with a celebratory message! (go you!)

Feature 2 – A Gift From Your Community

The second feature focuses on chat gifting you in game resources, as well as a snazzy hat – this one relies on a custom command being set up in your channel back end – here’s how it works.

1. At pre-defined places in the levels, there will be giant gift boxes with Gori’s name on them.

2. Once you reach these boxes, Gori can attack them, making the lid fly off and spilling their contents out.

3. At this point, ANY VIEWER who has redeemed the custom command since the last gift OR who has donated Bitties will be pulled out of the box and displayed, highlighting their support and showing how many points they’ve given.

  1. Gori will be given a random hat to wear, which acts as a one time damage protection buff, and will fall off the next time you take damage. You will also receive a set of resources!

    • The content of the present will be determined upon opening the gift box. It can contain
    a. Health
    b. Fuel
    c. Credits

    • The content is determined by player needs.
    a. If health is lowest
    i. Contain health
    b. If fuel is lowest
    i. Contains fuel
    c. If health and fuel are full
    i. Contains credits

Note that for this feature, any time a gift is opened, the points that are counted towards the gift from Bitties and the custom command are effectively ‘used’ and chat will need to use a custom command again / donate more bits in order to be featured in the next gift!

Feature 3 – Chat Brings You Back To Life

We all mess up and die in games sometimes (yes, even professionals like us) And though Gori has 9 lives, with this new feature – chat can help give you a second chance!

This is done by players spamming a custom command on death (as mentioned, you can make a separate one for this if you prefer to keep it separate from your existing commands!)

Upon death you will see this screen

The meter shown in the middle will be charged up by viewers activating the custom command, which once full – will instantly revive the player!

The charge amount needed is based on the amount of viewers the stream had when player died. If the stream has no viewers this feature won’t be shown.

This event has a timer to add pressure to the viewers to help the streamer revive.

That should just about cover everything! We hope you have fun with these new features if you have any issues, or simply want to share some badass clips you’ve made using them – please hit us up on Twitter @wiredp!

Have fun!
