Hey Gori: Cuddly Carnage Fans! We wanted to clarify our Gori Pegi Retail information: TL;DR: Retail is tough! Right now, you can still grab Gori on all formats in the US and Asia via our partners. But here in the UK and EU, our longstanding retail partners haven’t managed to secure enough demand to hit the Minimum Order Quantities across the 3 formats, so we have decided to bring it inhouse so at least we can talk to you direct and see if we can get the minimum orders… believe us, it is a real bummer. For clarification… We know we will hit the PS5 numbers, so we have started manufacturing and will be selling it directly through our store, and are working on getting it listed on our Amazon UK and Amazon DE store next week, so you can order from there. For the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions, we don’t have enough demand yet, so if you register your interest via the Wired store, we can track numbers, and this will help us figure out whether we can manufacture or not. If we make the green light, we make sure they will also be available via our Wired Amazon Stores in UK and DE as well as the Wired shop — because, let’s face it, thanks to those Brexit voters (not us!), shipping costs are through the roof! Dear Gori: Cuddly Carnage Fans,
As you may have heard, Gori: Cuddly Carnage will be launching physically on 29th October for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch! In the US and ASIA this remains true and we can’t wait for more players to get their paws on Gori. However, we have an important update regarding availability in the UK and EU.
Due to recent challenges in the retail landscape, including the closure of many brick-and-mortar outlets, we’ve faced difficulties ensuring widespread availability of our game. Despite our efforts, it has become unsustainable to maintain physical stock in traditional retail channels. Many stores primarily focus on AAA titles, leaving limited space for indie AA games like ours.
Therefore, starting today, we have made the decision to take control and, going forward, we will only make the PEGI version of our games available exclusively via our store. We’re pleased to announce that Gori: Cuddly Carnage for PlayStation 5 can be pre-ordered today, and we have begun manufacturing for the 29th October release.
For the PS4 and Nintendo Switch versions of Gori: Cuddly Carnage, we need to gauge interest first. We don’t want to take pre-orders and risk not fulfilling them or make you wait several months whilst we hold your money. By first seeing what interest there is in these editions, we’ll then decide if it’s sustainable and viable to produce PEGI versions for these formats.
We believe in the importance of a physical strategy for our game, but it must be sustainable in today’s market conditions. This shift will allow us to better serve our community, and we thank you for your understanding and continued support.
Again, our orders and editions in the US and ASIA are completely unaffected.
